The Lynk & Co 20 is the badge-on-the-tailgate name for what was launched in China as the Z20 in December 2024 and sold in Europe as the 02. For 2026 the compact electric SUV has been rebuilt around an 800V silicon-carbide platform, a new 16-in-1 rear-mounted drive unit rated at 245 kW (333 PS / 329 hp), and a roof-mounted LiDAR that now comes standard on every trim. Lynk & Co, the Geely Auto brand that began life as a Geely–Volvo venture, put the car on sale in China on 28 September 2026 at CNY 123,800–163,800 (about $18,100–23,900), with a limited-time launch discount taking CNY 5,000 off each version. The brand says it took 14,663 firm orders within one hour of the launch event. The pitch is unmistakable: 800V charging, a 6.4-second 0-100 km/h sprint and city-and-highway driver assistance for the price of a mainstream compact crossover.
Performance & Specs
Every version of the 20 uses the same single permanent-magnet motor on the rear axle, so the car is rear-wheel drive across the range. Lynk & Co rates it at 245 kW, which is 333 PS or about 329 hp, with 320 Nm of torque, and quotes 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds for all five versions. Top speed is 201 km/h, except on the aero-focused Feichi Edition, which is limited to 190 km/h. The motor is part of Geely's new 16-in-1 electric drive, an oil-cooled silicon-carbide unit that folds the motor, reducer, inverter, on-board charger, DC-DC converter and several control units into one housing; Lynk & Co quotes a 93.8% overall drive efficiency from its own laboratory testing. Curb weight runs from 1,815 kg for the entry car to 1,905 kg for the 70.01 kWh versions,.

Luggage space is 450 litres behind the rear seats, including the lower storage tray, and 1,410 litres with the 40/60-split rear seats folded. Every version except the entry Pro also has a 125-litre front trunk with a 12V outlet; independent outlets quote a maximum load of about 25 kg. Lynk & Co fits a glass roof of more than 1.7 square metres, frameless doors and semi-concealed door handles, and the rear cushion has been lengthened for adults on longer trips.

Charging & Battery
Two lithium iron phosphate packs are offered, both branded Aegis Golden Brick and supplied by Geely's own battery company. The 61.52 kWh pack is rated at 545 km on the CLTC cycle, while the 70.01 kWh pack reaches 630 km, or 580 km in the wing-equipped Feichi Edition. The 800V architecture is the real upgrade over the Z20. Lynk & Co's official configurator lists a maximum DC charging power of 460 kW on the 70.01 kWh versions and 420 kW on the 61.52 kWh versions, and the brand claims 10-80% in about 12 minutes; the company adds that this comes from its own test data and that real charging times depend on the charger's output. Those peak figures are what the car is rated to accept, not what any public charger today will deliver. AC charging tops out at 7.2 kW, and the car can power external loads at up to 6 kW. Lynk & Co quotes electricity consumption of 12.1 kWh/100 km on the CLTC cycle (13.2 kWh/100 km for the Feichi), a plug-side figure that includes charging losses and so sits several percent above the simple battery-divided-by-range result.

Design & Interior
Lynk & Co calls the front end its "The Next Day" family face, with a dawn-light LED daytime-running signature and dark, concealed headlamps. At the rear a two-tier wing design splits an upper aero spoiler from a lower wing that doubles as the light bar. Six paint colours are offered, including Iris Purple, a vivid 24 Yellow and Camellia White, and the roof is black on every car. The Feichi Edition, at the top of the range, adds a full carbon-fibre rear wing that Lynk & Co says generates 500 N of downforce at 180 km/h, together with yellow brake-caliper covers, suede-effect seats and headliner, yellow seatbelts and a coloured-stitch cabin theme. Inside, a 15.4-inch 2.5K central screen, a 10.2-inch digital cluster and, on the Ultra and Feichi, a head-up display carry the digital load, but the cabin keeps a crystal-cut rotary knob and physical buttons for core functions. Higher versions add heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, a 23-speaker Lynk Sound system rated at 1,920 W in a 7.1.4 layout, and 256-colour ambient lighting.
The party trick is the pair of refrigerators. A 6.8-litre warm-and-cool box sits in the front armrest (-6 to 50 degrees Celsius) and, uniquely, a 37.5-litre freezer can be fitted in the front trunk with a temperature range of -18 to 10 degrees Celsius. Per the official configurator the freezer is an option on the Ultra only, and the console box is a limited-time free option on the Ultra and Feichi.
Technology & Features
The cockpit runs Lynk & Co's Flyme Auto 2.5 software on a Longying 6P chip with 24 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The system supports Apple CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar, Carlink and Flyme Link, includes karaoke without a microphone, and adds an animated "Super Eva" AI voice assistant with multilingual, character-style interaction. Digital-key support covers Bluetooth and NFC, with a new UWB key offered on the top versions for centimetre-level unlocking. A 50 W cooled wireless charging pad, a driver headrest speaker and four expansion ports for accessories such as the Eva robot round out the cabin technology. Higher trims add CCD continuously variable damping, which the entry versions do without. Chassis hardware is a MacPherson-strut front axle and a five-link rear axle across the range.
Safety & ADAS
Every 20 carries one LiDAR, three millimetre-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic sensors, eleven exterior cameras and one interior camera, adding up to the 28 sensing units Lynk & Co advertises. They feed a Horizon Robotics Journey 6M chip running the G-ASD H5 system, which brings highway and urban navigate-on-autopilot, memory, remote and automatic parking and automatic emergency braking. One caveat: features such as door-to-door navigation, reverse-trajectory retracing and low-speed exploration are not live at launch, and Lynk & Co says it expects them to arrive by over-the-air update in the first quarter of 2027. Passive safety includes seven airbags, among them a 115-litre passenger airbag and a 53-litre far-side airbag, and a body using 2,000 MPa hot-formed steel. We have not found independent crash-test results for this version.

Pricing & Availability
Lynk & Co's official configurator lists guide prices of CNY 123,800, 133,800, 143,800, 153,800 and 163,800 for the five versions, which convert to roughly $18,100, $19,500, $21,000, $22,500 and $23,900 at 6.85 CNY per dollar. A limited-time launch price takes CNY 5,000 off each, starting at CNY 118,800 (about $17,300) and topping out at CNY 158,800 (about $23,200); the brand has not published an end date for the offer. Both sets of prices are shown in the table above and should not be mixed: the $18,100 figure is the regular guide price, the $17,300 figure is the temporary one. Gasgoo reports that the entry price is supported by a five-year loan with two interest-free years, trade-in subsidies and option credits, and the configurator lists several items, including the power frunk opener, the rear spoiler and the 6.8 L cooler, as limited-time free options. Sales began on 28 September, and Lynk & Co reports 14,663 firm orders inside the first hour. The 20 is sold in China. In Europe the earlier version of this car is sold as the Lynk & Co 02 with a different 66 kWh battery and lower power; whether the 800V version follows has not been announced.
How It Compares
All three rivals from our own catalog sit in a narrow 321–329 hp band, so the interesting variable is the price. The Smart 1 Facelifted, another Geely-backed electric compact, matches the 20's 329 hp but lists at $22,100, about $4,000 above the entry Lynk & Co and roughly the price of the mid-range 630 km versions, with 535 km against the Lynk's 545–630 km. The 2026 BYD Yuan Plus is the direct segment rival Gasgoo names; at 322 hp and $22,000 it also lands about $3,900 above the base 20, though our database has no range figure for it. The BYD Seal 06 GT is a hatchback rather than an SUV, but at 321 hp and $18,700 it is priced within about $600 of the entry 20 and quotes 620 km, so it is the closest match on paper for buyers who do not need SUV packaging. The 20's own edge is equipment: standard LiDAR, 800V charging and urban navigate-on-autopilot in every version, though the cheapest trim gives up the frunk and comfort features that the mid-range versions add.
- Standard LiDAR, 800V architecture and city-and-highway NOA hardware on every version, from about $18,100
- 245 kW (329 hp) rear-drive performance with a 6.4-second 0-100 km/h time and up to 630 km of CLTC range
- Practical extras such as a 125-litre frunk and available in-car fridges, plus a 450-litre boot
- Door-to-door navigation and reverse-trace parking are not available at launch and depend on a Q1 2027 update
- Entry Pro has no frunk, heated seats or 23-speaker audio, and the 420 kW peak charge rate is lower than on the 70.01 kWh versions
The Lynk & Co 20 is an unusually well-equipped compact EV for the money. A 329 hp rear-drive powertrain, an 800V platform rated at up to 460 kW, a standard LiDAR and urban navigate-on-autopilot hardware are all standard here, and the car starts at roughly $18,100, or $17,300 with the launch discount. The trade-offs are real: several headline driver-assistance functions arrive only by update in 2027, the cheapest version skips the frunk and the comfort features, and the 12-minute charge claim is brand test data, not something to expect on every charger. For buyers in China, the 630 km Max or Ultra looks like the sweet spot; for everyone else, it is a strong signal of where the Geely-built compact EV is heading. Recommended in its home market, with availability elsewhere unconfirmed.
