Performance & Specs
One permanent-magnet motor on the rear axle makes 218 kW (296 PS / 292 hp) and drives the car alone. The 1.5-litre turbo engine from Harbin Dongan (110 kW, 150 PS / 148 hp) is a generator and never turns the wheels. XPeng's AI noise and vibration control is said to cut engine vibration by up to 50%.
The car does 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds, a figure the reviewer in the video above also reads out, with a top speed of 202 km/h. Kerb weight is 2,245 to 2,255 kg.

Design & Interior
The G7 keeps its full-width light bar, coupe-like roofline and a light-bar tail with the XPeng script across the tailgate. Inside, a white cabin carries a 15.6-inch central screen, an 87-inch head-up display, an 8-inch rear screen and a panoramic roof, which has no sunshade on the reviewer's showroom car. The Max Flagship adds Nappa leather, rear 50 W wireless charging, four electric soft-close doors and rear-seat massage, ventilation and heating (IT Home).
Technology & Features
The system runs XOS 6.3 with the second-generation VLA assistant, and the reviewer notes that an English interface is now available, which matters for export buyers. Automatic parking is on the equipment list, and the Max Flagship adds a streaming rearview mirror. Every trim has one Turing AI chip (750 TOPS) as standard, per XPeng's configuration sheet.
Safety & ADAS
Driver assistance is sold by option: Ultra SE costs CNY 12,000 (~$1,800) with two Turing chips, and Ultra costs CNY 20,000 (~$3,000) with three.

Pricing & Availability
The G7 EREV went on sale in China on 8 January 2026 at the list prices above, converted at the ECB rate of 28 October 2026 (USD 1 = CNY 6.6664). Export dealers in China quote it as ready to ship from about $28,000, but those are reseller prices, not official ones. XPeng has not published a European or North American price for the EREV.
How It Compares
The new-generation Li Auto L6 costs CNY 249,800 (~$37,472), about $8,100 more, for 300 km of electric range and 1,250 km combined from a 51 kWh pack. The G7 EREV leads it by 130 km on electricity and 454 km in total. XPeng's own larger G9L REV lists from CNY 259,800 (~$38,972), about $9,600 more, and adds 496 hp and all-wheel drive, but its 1,602 km combined range is 102 km short of the G7's.
- 1,704 km combined and 430 km electric range from a 55.8 kWh pack
- 800 V, 5C charging adds 314 km in 12 minutes
- From ~$29,371 with a 779 L boot and 6.9 s 0-100 km/h
- Heavy at 2,245-2,255 kg for a 292 hp rear-drive SUV
- No confirmed European price or on-sale date
- Ultra SE and Ultra assist packs cost CNY 12,000-20,000 extra, and the showroom car's roof has no sunshade
The G7 EREV claims 1,704 km of CLTC combined range for about $29,000, with a 430 km CLTC electric range and 5C charging. Take the Max Tech unless you want the Flagship's leather and rear-seat comfort, and budget for the ADAS option if you want the full driver-assist suite. Best for drivers who want a mostly electric daily car with a petrol backup for 1,700 km road trips at around $29,000; buyers outside China cannot order one yet.
