The REV uses its 1.5-liter turbo engine, rated at 115 kW (154 hp), purely as a generator, so the single rear motor always drives the car. It makes 231 kW (314 PS / 310 hp) and 367 Nm, and Avatr quotes 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds with a 190 km/h top speed. Avatr rates the 39.05 kWh CATL battery at 245 km of electric range on the CLTC cycle and the whole system at 1,155 km combined, and quotes a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 5.8 L/100 km. The pure-electric versions sold alongside it are quicker: the single-motor car makes 237 kW (318 hp) and 396 Nm for 6.1 seconds, and the dual-motor cars make 402 kW (539 hp) and 687 Nm for 3.8 seconds.

Charging & Battery
The REV carries a 39.05 kWh CATL battery. Its 245 km of rated electric range works out to roughly 15.9 kWh of battery capacity per 100 km, and the 1.5-liter generator extends the total to 1,155 km on the CLTC cycle. The pure-electric versions of the same generation use a 94.53 kWh ternary lithium pack rated at 755 km for the rear-drive car and 705 km for the all-wheel-drive cars. The later four-LiDAR range extender moves to a 52.01 kWh pack rated at 356 km electric and 1,270 km combined.

The Avatr 12 is styled as a four-door gran coupe with a sloping fastback roofline. Inside, a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic display sits beside a 15.6-inch central touchscreen in Huawei's HarmonyOS-based cockpit. The Royal Theater Edition is the top trim of the range, priced at CNY 429,900 (about $64,200) in its pure-electric form.

The Avatr 12 runs Huawei's HarmonyOS-based cockpit on the 35.4-inch and 15.6-inch screens, and Huawei's ADS 3.0 provides the driver-assistance functions, fed by three long-range LiDAR units.

The 2025 Avatr 12 carries three long-range LiDAR units and Huawei's ADS 3.0 on every trim. The four-LiDAR edition that followed on 28 October 2025 adds a rear-facing solid-state unit and moves to Qiankun ADS 4.

Pricing & Availability
Avatr launched the 2025 Avatr 12 on 2 November 2024 with six trims and official prices from CNY 269,900 to CNY 429,900 (about $40,300 to $64,200). The REV Max is the entry trim, and the pure-electric Max starts at CNY 289,900 (about $43,300). Avatr refreshed the line-up in May 2025, keeping the CNY 269,900 starting price and adding a new interior color and a 20-inch wheel option. On 28 October 2025 the four-LiDAR edition took over with a 52.01 kWh battery at the same CNY 269,900 starting price, and a further update followed on 8 April 2026 with the range extender from CNY 293,900 (about $43,900).
The Avatr 12 is sold in China. Avatr launched the pure-electric Avatr 12 in the UAE in December 2024 and in Qatar in February 2025, but the availability of the range-extender REV in those markets is not confirmed. As of September 2026, Avatr has not confirmed a launch date for the Avatr 12 in Europe or North America. China-based exporters, including the channel behind this video, arrange purchases of China-market cars for overseas buyers; that is separate from an official Avatr rollout.
How It Compares
The four-LiDAR REV that replaced this car in October 2025 keeps the same 310 hp and the same CNY 269,900 starting price but adds 111 km of electric range (356 vs 245 km), 115 km of combined range (1,270 vs 1,155 km) and a fourth LiDAR, with its quoted 0-100 km/h time slightly slower at 6.8 seconds against 6.7. The XPeng P7+ EREV, a 5,071 mm sedan with a 180 kW (241 hp) motor, undercuts it by roughly CNY 83,100 (about $12,400) and quotes 430 km of electric range and 1,550 km combined, while the Avatr offers 69 more horsepower and Huawei's LiDAR-based driver assistance.
