The Chery Fulwin T7 (Chinese name Fengyun T7) is a compact battery-electric SUV (BEV) from Fulwin, Chery's new-energy brand, and it went on sale in China on 26 August 2026. All three trims share one drivetrain: a single electric motor rated at 178 kW (242 PS / 239 hp) and 275 Nm, a 65.05 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a claimed 600 km of range on the Chinese CLTC cycle. Chery's official price list shows CNY 97,900, CNY 108,900 and CNY 118,900, which is about $14,686, $16,336 and $17,836 at the ECB rate of 1 USD = 6.6664 CNY (28 October 2026), and a CNY 3,000 trade-in subsidy lowers each of those by CNY 3,000 until 31 October 2026. Abroad the same platform is sold as the Lepas L6 EV, although the export car has a lower-output motor and a shorter range rating. The T7 is a pure battery-electric car: no plug-in hybrid or range-extender version of the T7 has been announced.
Performance & Specs
Every T7 uses the same single electric motor, rated at 178 kW (242 PS / 239 hp) with 275 Nm of peak torque and a top speed of 180 km/h. Chery has not published a 0 to 100 km/h time for the Chinese car, so none is quoted here. The Chinese filing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in May 2026 already listed a single 178 kW motor, a 180 km/h top speed and a lithium iron phosphate battery with Gotion High-Tech cells. Per Chery's launch material, the electric drive is a 12-in-1 unit with a peak efficiency of 90.8 percent.
The T7 is front-wheel drive with a single front motor, according to the Autohome and Pcauto parameter sheets, and the export Lepas L6 EV is front-wheel drive too. The T7 weighs about 1,780 kg and has a drag coefficient of 0.286 according to the launch coverage. The suspension is a MacPherson strut at the front and a multi-link independent setup at the rear, and Autohome lists a maximum wading depth of 500 mm.

The T7 is 4,570 mm long, 1,852 mm wide and 1,694 mm high with a 2,700 mm wheelbase, which puts it in the compact-SUV class with a long wheelbase for its length. The boot holds 450 litres behind the rear seats and 1,550 litres with them folded, according to Autohome and CarNewsChina. Chery highlights the cabin as a family space: the front seats recline flat into a sleeping area of 1,955 mm by 1,310 mm, there are rear air vents, and one-touch modes cover napping, camping and baby care. Chery's own page lists heated and ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof with a power sunshade from the Shuxiang trim up, while Autohome and CarNewsChina describe them as standard on all trims. Wheels are 17 inches or 18 inches depending on the trim, and there are six colours: Flame Orange, Flowing Silver, Ink Stone Black, Green Bamboo Grey, Mountain Smoke Purple and Cloud Powder Cream.

Charging & Battery
All three trims carry the same 65.05 kWh LFP battery, branded the "Rhino" battery, with a 600 km CLTC rating, so the choice between trims is about equipment and driver assistance rather than range. Chery quotes 20 minutes for a 30 to 80 percent DC fast charge and up to 6.6 kW of external power discharge; it has not stated the peak DC charging power or the AC onboard-charger rating in the material we could read. For reference, the export Lepas L6 EV is rated at 120 kW DC in Thailand and the UK, and Australian pricing material quotes 22 minutes for 30 to 80 percent on a 120 kW charger.
The CLTC cycle is the most generous of the major test cycles. The export Lepas L6 EV, which uses the same 65.05 kWh pack but a 160 kW motor, is rated at 440 km WLTP in Australia and 279 miles (about 449 km) WLTP in the UK, so a buyer outside China should expect considerably less than 600 km. Chery also says that real-world tests reached 681.6 km, without stating the conditions, which should be read as a manufacturer claim. Chery backs the battery with a replacement guarantee: if the traction battery itself causes a thermal runaway that destroys the car, Chery will pay for the same new car or a new car of at least the same specification. The offer is limited to the first private owner, and the brand's page lists a lifetime vehicle warranty covering the electric drive components for that owner as well.

Design & Interior
The T7 has a closed front end with slim LED headlights, an X-shaped lower air intake, a roof-integrated spoiler and a faux diffuser at the rear, and the official photos show a rounded, crossover-like profile with a tapering roofline. The interior comes in two themes, a warm black-and-brown scheme and a darker sporty black one, with soft-touch materials, a floating 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen and an 8.8-inch instrument display. Autohome lists nine-layer "cloud-feel" seats and an eight-speaker Sony audio system as standard, and CarNewsChina adds a ventilated centre armrest. Sunroof and seat-heating details differ between outlets for the individual trims, so the trim table below lists only the equipment on which the sources agree.
Technology & Features
The cockpit runs Chery's Lingxi Smart Cockpit 2.0 with ByteDance's Doubao large language model for voice control, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar and CarLink. The top Zhixiang trim adds a Qualcomm SA8775 4 nm chip that Chery describes as a cockpit-and-driving integrated processor with an NPU rated at 72 TOPS, while the Yuexiang and Shuxiang trims use an 8155 chip. The Shuxiang trim adds a power tailgate, a 540-degree camera view, blind-spot detection, door-open warning and sentry mode, and the Zhixiang adds the Falcon 500 assisted-driving system, 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting and a driver lumbar support.
Safety & ADAS
Chery advertises the T7 as leading its class with nine airbags, and Autohome lists nine as standard, but Chery's own spec page shows six for the entry Yuexiang, so confirm the airbag count for your trim. Chery says the body was developed to meet the 2026 Euro NCAP five-star standard, uses 80 percent high-strength steel including 18.84 percent hot-formed steel, and protects the battery with a 31-layer "6D chainmail" structure rated IP68 and 200 kN of side crush resistance; no published crash-test rating was found as of October 2026. The Falcon 500 system on the top trim combines 3 millimetre-wave radars, 7 cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors for highway navigation assist, remote and valet parking, 100 m track-back reversing and more than 300 parking scenarios. City navigation assist is not offered at launch. Chery also promises compensation of up to CNY 5 million (about $750,000) for accidents caused by the driver-assistance system in parking and navigation scenarios within one year of purchase, a first-owner offer listed on the brand's own page.
| ADAS LEVEL | L2-class assisted driving (Chery does not state an SAE level); highway navigation assist on the top trim only |
|---|---|
| ADAS FEATURES | Up to 9 airbags (confirm per trim), Falcon 500 (3 radars, 7 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors) on Zhixiang, 540° camera view and blind-spot detection from Shuxiang, remote and valet parking, 300+ parking scenarios on Zhixiang |

Pricing & Availability
Chery's official price list shows CNY 97,900 for the 600 km Yuexiang, CNY 108,900 for the Shuxiang and CNY 118,900 for the Zhixiang, or about $14,686, $16,336 and $17,836 at 1 USD = 6.6664 CNY (ECB, 28 October 2026). Pre-sales in August started at CNY 109,900 to CNY 129,900, so the launch list prices are CNY 11,000-12,000 lower. In October 2026 the brand's own page lists a package valid until 31 October that includes a CNY 3,000 trade-in subsidy on all trims (CNY 94,900, CNY 105,900 and CNY 115,900 after the subsidy, or about $14,236, $15,886 and $17,386), financing of CNY 60,000 interest-free for two years or CNY 100,000 interest-free for three years of a five-year loan, and a free premium paint colour (Flame Orange or Mountain Smoke Purple) worth CNY 6,000. The order must be locked, paid in full and the car collected by 31 October, and the brand's lifetime-warranty and guarantee perks are limited to the first private owner.
The export version is the Lepas L6 EV, and Chery has listed it in several markets. In Thailand it launched on 24 July 2026 at THB 769,900 for the Comfort and THB 829,900 for the Premium, with a 160 kW (218 PS) front motor, 275 Nm and up to 510 km NEDC. In Australia Lepas priced it at AUD 47,990 before on-road costs with 160 kW, 275 Nm and 440 km WLTP, with dealer test drives starting in early November 2026. The UK specification is 279 miles WLTP with 120 kW DC charging, with orders expected in the fourth quarter of 2026 and no price announced, and Spain is also expected to get the car before the end of the year. These export cars have a lower-output motor than the Chinese T7, so the 178 kW figure in this article applies to the T7 only.
How It Compares
The T7 is the most powerful car in this group and, at CNY 97,900, the longest-range one under CNY 110,000. The Changan Qiyuan Q05 starts about $2,700 lower (CNY 18,000) but has 161 hp and a 405 to 506 km CLTC range from a 40.3 or 51.9 kWh battery, so the T7 offers about 78 hp and 94 to 195 km more rated range for the price difference. The GAC Aion i60 BEV costs CNY 109,800 for its 530 km version, which is CNY 11,900 more than the T7 Yuexiang for 70 km less CLTC range, and its 650 km versions start at CNY 117,800, about the same as the top T7 Zhixiang for 50 km more range. BYD's smaller Yuan UP in its new 2027 form is cheaper at CNY 74,800 to 104,800, but it has only 94 hp and up to 501 km CLTC, so it is a city car in comparison. The T7's trade-off is that its power and range are quoted by the manufacturer on the Chinese cycle, while the 0 to 100 km/h time and the DC charging power are not stated in the material we found. All CLTC ranges are manufacturer figures from our own articles on each car, and the Aion i60 hp range is converted from its 150 to 165 kW output.
- CNY 97,900 (~$14,686) buys 178 kW (242 PS / 239 hp), a 65.05 kWh LFP battery and a 600 km CLTC rating, and every trim has the same battery
- 30 to 80 percent DC charging in about 20 minutes, 6.6 kW vehicle-to-load, a heat pump on every trim and a 450 L boot (1,550 L folded)
- Falcon 500 assistance with highway navigation, a battery thermal-runaway replacement guarantee and a CNY 3,000 trade-in subsidy until 31 October 2026
- The 600 km figure is a CLTC rating; the export Lepas L6 EV with the same battery is rated 440 km WLTP, and no 0-100 km/h time or peak DC charging power has been published for the Chinese car
- Only the CNY 118,900 Zhixiang gets the Falcon 500 assistance suite and the SA8775 chip, and there is no city navigation assist at launch
The Fulwin T7 is one of the best-value electric SUVs on the Chinese market: 239 hp, a 65.05 kWh LFP battery and a 600 km CLTC rating from CNY 97,900 (~$14,686), with about 20 minutes for 30 to 80 percent. It is a family-first car with a flat-folding front seat, a 450 L boot and one of the most complete safety guarantees at this price. The caveats are that the range figure is CLTC, the real range outside China will be closer to the export car's 440 km WLTP, and Chery has left out the 0-100 km/h time and the peak charging power. Pick the Shuxiang at CNY 108,900 for the practical equipment, and spend CNY 118,900 on the Zhixiang only if the highway assistance matters to you.
