Performance & Specs
The A390 is fast for a two-tonne crossover. Three electric motors and all-wheel drive with Alpine Active Torque Vectoring give the GT 295 kW (400 PS / 395 hp) and 661 Nm for 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and 200 km/h, while the GTS adds 345 kW (470 PS / 464 hp) and 824 Nm for 3.9 seconds with launch control and 220 km/h. Weight distribution is 49 percent front and 51 percent rear.
The GT weighs 2,124 kg and the GTS 2,121 kg in running order, and the GT tows 1,350 kg braked or 750 kg unbraked. A steering-wheel Overtake button gives ten seconds of extra acceleration, and a new Track mode reduces stability-system intervention.

Charging & Battery
Range depends on the wheels. The 89 kWh usable battery (about 94 kWh gross, per ArenaEV) gives the GT up to 555 km WLTP on Alpine's comparison table and UK page (345 miles), while Alpine's Germany and France pages quote 551 and 557 km with the optional 20-inch Cristal wheels, so we use 555 km. For the GTS, L'Argus reported 541 km with 20-inch wheels and 503 km on the standard 21-inch. Combined WLTP consumption is 18.7-20.4 kWh/100 km, according to Alpine France's spec sheet.
Fast charging is the weak spot. The GT peaks at 150 kW and needs 29 minutes for 15-80%, while the GTS peaks at 190 kW and takes about 25 to 27 minutes depending on the source. AC is 11 kW three-phase as standard, with a 22 kW charger as a EUR 1,200 option in France and Germany; the car supports V2L and V2G, and the V2L adapter costs EUR 400 in France.

Design & Interior
The brief is driver-first. A coupe-like roofline sits over a tall body, the GTS rides on 21-inch forged Snowflake wheels and the GT can have 20-inch Cristal wheels. Inside, the GT has perforated Alcantara sport seats with heating and massage plus a 13-speaker Devialet system, the GTS uses Sabelt two-tone Nappa seats, and the wheel carries a red Overtake button and a blue drive-mode dial.
Technology & Features
Alpine Portal runs two 12-inch screens with Google built-in, Gemini, Google Maps route and charge planning and Airnity streaming. Five years of connectivity are included at 2 GB a month, the Alpine Telemetrics app logs live data and offers coaching, and the car has wireless smartphone mirroring, wireless charging and four USB-C ports.
Safety & ADAS
Euro NCAP gave the A390 four stars in December 2025: adult occupant 74%, child 85%, vulnerable road users 80% and safety assist 77%. The GT's standard equipment includes seven airbags, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise, lane-keeping with emergency steering correction, blind-spot warning, a driver attention monitor, a 360-degree camera and LED matrix headlights; an optional Driving Pack adds active driver assistance, emergency stop assist and hands-free parking, according to the UK description.

Pricing & Availability
The GT is the value pick at EUR 67,500 (~$75,100) in France and Germany, against EUR 78,000 (~$86,800) for the GTS. Alpine France shows EUR 67,100 (~$74,700) and EUR 77,600 (~$86,400) after a EUR 400 energy-savings (CEE) bonus. In the UK the GT costs GBP 61,390 (~$81,600), the Premiere Edition GBP 65,390 (~$86,900) and the GTS GBP 69,390 (~$92,200).
GT deliveries began in February 2026, and GTS orders opened on 2 June 2026 after a battery supply problem at Verkor delayed that version. Alpine sold 1,041 A390 cars in the first half of 2026, and Dieppe cut output from 30 to 15 cars a day from the end of September, according to Actu Automobile. Alpine's official sites list France, Germany and the UK; a North American launch has not been confirmed as of November 2026.
How It Compares
The BMW iX3 50 xDrive is the clearest benchmark: it costs EUR 3,400 more than the A390 GT (EUR 70,900 against EUR 67,500) for 463 hp, 68 hp more than the GT, and up to 806 km WLTP against 555 km. The GTS matches its power at about 464 hp but costs EUR 7,100 more and has at least 265 km less range. Charging also lags: BMW quotes up to 400 kW and Porsche 270 kW for the Macan Electric against Alpine's 150-190 kW. Prices come from different markets, so compare them on the day you order.
- Three motors with all-wheel drive: 395 hp and 4.8 seconds for the GT, 464 hp and 3.9 seconds for the GTS
- Up to 555 km WLTP from an 89 kWh usable battery
- 532-litre boot that grows to 1,643 litres, and 1,350 kg braked towing on the GT
- 150 kW peak DC charging on the GT (190 kW on the GTS) is below rivals that quote 270 kW or more
- Heavy at 2,124 kg for the GT, and the GTS costs EUR 10,500 more and drops to 503 km WLTP on its standard 21-inch wheels
- Euro NCAP gave four stars, not five, with 74% for adult occupant protection
The A390 suits drivers who want a sporty electric crossover with a big boot more than record range or charging speed. At EUR 67,500 the GT is the sensible version, since the BMW iX3 costs EUR 3,400 more for 806 km and 400 kW charging. Choose the GTS only if 3.9 seconds to 100 km/h is worth EUR 10,500 and a range of 503-541 km.
