Lynk & Co's flagship 900 plug-in hybrid went on sale in China in April 2025 as a six-seat, chauffeur-focused SUV. On 27 April 2026 the brand added a genuinely different five-seat variant — not simply the six-seater with a row removed, but a reworked cabin built around a true three-across second row and a 1,030-litre boot. On a dealer-floor walkaround, the reviewer specifically flagged that buyers can choose either configuration on the same car, ready for export. The five-seat 900 starts at CNY 299,800 (about $44,700) in China and tops out at 724 hp, while the six-seat range runs up to the 872 hp triple-motor Explore at CNY 416,900 (about $62,200), with combined range of up to 1,443 km on the CLTC cycle.
Performance & Specs
Every 900 is a plug-in hybrid (Lynk & Co calls the system EM-P) with a 1.5-litre or 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and electric motors driving all four wheels. The 1.5T versions make 530 kW (711 hp) and 1,000 Nm of torque, with a 4.8-second 0-100 km/h time and a 210 km/h top speed. The 2.0T Ultra makes 540 kW (724 hp) and 1,038 Nm, good for 4.6 seconds and 240 km/h. Only the six-seat 2.0T Explore adds a third motor, lifting output to 650 kW (872 hp) and 1,248 Nm for a 4.3-second sprint, so the five-seat range stops at 724 hp. Batteries are a 44.85 kWh pack on the 1.5T cars (220 km CLTC electric range) and CATL's 52.38 kWh Freevoy pack on the 2.0T cars (280 km on the Ultra, 268 km on the Explore). That output is well ahead of most plug-in hybrid SUVs at this price, closer to a performance sedan in a straight line than to a typical three-row family hauler.

The six-seat 900 uses a 2+2+2 layout with second-row captain's chairs that rotate up to 180 degrees to face rear passengers — a chauffeur-market feature — and a third row that slides forward and back by 125 mm, leaving roughly 300 litres of boot space behind it. The five-seat variant reworks the same 5,240 mm body around a true three-seat second row: about 1,350 mm wide, with roughly 1,120 mm of rear legroom and up to 150 degrees of backrest recline. Behind it sits a flat-floor load bay of 1,030 litres, growing to 1,215 litres with the second row slid forward, plus about 80 litres of sunken underfloor storage. The six-seat car targets buyers who want a chauffeured, business-class rear cabin, while the five-seat car targets families who would rather have a bigger boot and a more open second row for everyday use than a formal captain's-chair arrangement they will rarely fill.
Charging & Battery
The 52.38 kWh pack on the 2.0T cars is CATL's Freevoy ternary-lithium battery (253 Wh/kg), rated for 4C charging and a 20-80% DC top-up in about 17 minutes. The 1.5T cars use a smaller 44.85 kWh ternary pack for 220 km of CLTC electric range. A roughly 60-litre fuel tank backs up the plug-in hybrid system for CLTC combined ranges of 1,355 km on the 1.5T trims, 1,350 km on the 2.0T Ultra and 1,443 km on the six-seat 2.0T Explore.

Design & Interior
The showroom car wore a champagne-gold exterior with a black roof and a full-width LED tail-light bar carrying "LYNK & CO" script and a "900 EM-P" badge. Inside, tan leather seats with contrast stitching cover both rows, and the door sill scuff plates carry the Lynk & Co script badge. The cabin's centerpiece is a 30-inch, 6K-resolution touchscreen spanning the dashboard, paired with a 95-inch augmented-reality head-up display. A rear cargo area doubles as a mobile office or entertainment space on demonstrator units, with a multi-screen array visible through the open tailgate in this walkaround, and a tow hitch fitted underneath the rear bumper on this particular showroom car. As with many China-market walkarounds, the software interface ships Chinese-only, though the reviewer's export team offers to convert it to English for international buyers as part of the export process, alongside handling shipping logistics that the reviewer says typically take three to four weeks door to door.
Technology & Features
The 900 runs on dual Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chips for its cockpit systems. Driver assistance is Lynk & Co's Qianli Haohan system in two hardware levels: the H5 version on entry trims runs on Nvidia Orin-X chips, while the H7 version on higher trims moves to a single Nvidia Thor chip rated at 700 TOPS, and the system supports Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) on highways and urban roads. A 31-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a centre-console refrigerator, and dual 50-watt wireless phone chargers round out the flagship feature list, alongside a dual-chamber air suspension setup that adjusts ride height and damping for comfort on rough roads.
Safety & ADAS
The 900's driver-assist suite centers on a roof-mounted LiDAR unit backed by 11 cameras, five millimetre-wave radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors, run through the H5 or H7 version of the Qianli Haohan system for City NOA functionality — navigation-assisted driving on mapped urban roads, not just highways, a capability tier that's typically reserved for pricier flagship models from other Chinese brands. Standard safety features include adaptive cruise, lane-centering, automatic emergency braking, and a 360-degree camera system.
| ADAS LEVEL | L2+ (LiDAR-equipped, City NOA capable) |
|---|---|
| ADAS FEATURES | LiDAR, 11 cameras, 5 radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, adaptive cruise, lane-centering, 360° camera |

Pricing & Availability
Guide prices in China (USD at about 6.70 yuan per dollar): the five-seat 1.5T Halo, 1.5T Ultra and 2.0T Ultra cost CNY 299,800, 325,800 and 345,800 (about $44,700, $48,600 and $51,600), and the six-seat 1.5T Halo, 1.5T Ultra, 2.0T Ultra and 2.0T Explore cost CNY 309,900, 336,900, 366,900 and 416,900 (about $46,300, $50,300, $54,800 and $62,200). The six-seat 900 launched in April 2025 and the five-seat version on 27 April 2026. For September 2026, Lynk & Co China also lists a limited-time trade-in price from CNY 254,800 (about $38,000) for the five-seat and from CNY 269,900 (about $40,300) for the six-seat, which applies when a buyer trades in an existing car. Outside China, distributor Galadari Brothers opened official pre-bookings for the six-seat 900 in the UAE in February 2026. Volvo Cars becomes Lynk & Co's exclusive European distributor from January 2027, but Lynk & Co has not announced the 900 for Europe, and a North American launch is unconfirmed as of September 2026. The reviewer's dealer also offers China-market cars for export.
How It Compares
The entry five-seat 900 is the cheapest of the three: about $3,000 below the Denza N8L PHEV (CNY 319,800) and about $13,400 below the Denza N9 (CNY 389,800; a newer N9 flash-charging edition starts at CNY 409,800, about $61,200). It gives up some power at that level, with 711 hp against 751 hp for the N8L and 912 hp for the N9, while its 1,355 km CLTC combined range is on par with the N9's 1,330 km. The picture shifts at the top of the range: the 872 hp six-seat Explore (CNY 416,900) gets within 40 hp of the N9 for roughly $4,000 more than the CNY 389,800 N9. The five-seat layout also answers a gap neither Denza fills as cleanly — flagship-level power without forcing buyers into a six-seat, chauffeur-oriented cabin.
- New 5-seat option adds a 1,030-litre boot and a true three-across second row on the same 5,240 mm body
- Even the entry 1.5T trims make 711 hp and reach 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, and the six-seat Explore reaches 872 hp and 4.3 seconds
- LiDAR, dual Snapdragon 8295 chips, and Nvidia-based driver assistance give it a properly current-generation tech stack
- The five-seat range tops out at 724 hp; the 872 hp triple-motor Explore is six-seat only
- Official availability outside China is limited so far (UAE pre-bookings), and a European launch of the 900 has not been announced
- China-market cars ship with Chinese-only software, requiring a language conversion for international buyers
The Lynk & Co 900's new five-seat option is a smart, well-targeted addition: it keeps the six-seater's platform, 711-724 hp powertrains and tech stack while finally giving buyers who don't need captain's chairs a bigger boot and a proper three-across second row. From about $44,700 (CNY 299,800) the entry car undercuts the Denza N8L and N9, and the six-seat Explore's 872 hp and up to 1,443 km of CLTC range remain the lineup's headline numbers. The catch is that those headline numbers stay six-seat only, and official availability outside China is still thin, so it suits buyers in China or the UAE, or those willing to work with an importer. On power and range per dollar it remains one of the stronger plug-in hybrid SUVs coming out of China.
