The Voyah Passion S is the Dongfeng-owned premium brand's answer to the Xiaomi YU7, a 5,050 mm electric coupe-SUV that Voyah calls a "tech FUV". It went on sale in China on August 15, 2026 in three trims, and every one of them carries the same hardware headline: four LiDAR units feeding Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 driver-assistance system. Official list prices run from CNY 229,900 (about $34,300, at roughly 6.7 yuan to the dollar) to CNY 279,900 (about $41,800), and limited-time launch pricing running to September 30, 2026 takes CNY 6,000 off each trim, so the entry car drops to CNY 223,900 (about $33,400). Power ranges from 402 hp in the rear-drive cars to 637 hp in the all-wheel-drive Ultra+, and CLTC range reaches 740 km on the rear-drive Ultra. A partner reviewer filmed a display car in a Huawei retail space, which gives us a look at the boot, the frunk and the cabin.
Performance & Specs
The rear-drive Max and Ultra use a single rear-mounted motor rated at 300 kW (402 hp) and 390 Nm. That is good for 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds in the Max and 6.9 seconds in the Ultra, which carries the larger battery. The top Ultra+ keeps that 300 kW rear motor and adds a 175 kW front motor, for a combined 475 kW (637 hp) and 765 Nm, and Voyah rates it at 4.5 seconds to 100 km/h. Top speed is 200 km/h. The reviewer quoted the same all-wheel-drive numbers on camera: 765 Nm, 200 km/h and 4.5 seconds. All three trims sit on an 800V silicon-carbide platform with LFP batteries, 81.6 kWh in the Max (630 km CLTC) and 98.1 kWh in the Ultra (740 km) and Ultra+ (700 km). The suspension is an aluminium double-wishbone front and five-link rear, with adaptive dampers on every trim and, on the top trim, air springs with 80 mm of ride-height adjustment.

At 5,050 mm long on a 3,000 mm wheelbase, the Passion S is a large five-seat coupe-SUV, about 50 mm longer than the 4,999 mm Xiaomi YU7 it is built to rival and with the same wheelbase. The reviewer opened the tailgate and quoted 584 litres of boot space with the rear seats up, and roughly 1,700 litres with them folded; the official figures are 584 litres (including a 24-litre hidden compartment under the floor) and 1,744 litres with the seats folded. Under the bonnet there is an 80-litre frunk, which the demo car opened either from a button or by voice command. The wheels are 21-inch with 255/50 tyres on both axles, and the reviewer mentioned the 0.24 Cd drag figure while pointing out the front splitter.

Charging & Battery
Every Passion S is built around 800V, 5C charging. Voyah says all three trims go from 20% to 80% in about 10 minutes, and it quotes up to 474 km of CLTC range added in 10 minutes and 577 km in 15 minutes; launch coverage does not tie those range-added figures to a specific battery. The reviewer, who runs an export dealership, said the car needs about 7 to 10 minutes to reach roughly 80% on a fast charger and 10 to 12 hours on a slow one. The charge port is on the rear quarter panel, and the display car was plugged in during filming.

Design & Interior
The Passion S is a low fastback with a steeply raked rear window, a roof spoiler and dark-tinted glass, and its most distinctive feature is the light signature. A continuous LED bar runs across the nose to a metallic Voyah emblem, and a matching bar at the tail carries illuminated "VOYAH" lettering between teal-accented lamp clusters. The LiDAR sits in a housing at the top of the windscreen, the door handles are flush with the body, and the 21-inch wheels show off pale calipers behind black spokes. The demo car was finished in deep maroon. Inside, it is a cream-and-black cabin with a cream steering wheel wearing the Voyah badge, physical buttons on the wheel spokes, a slim driver display and a wide central touchscreen made of two panels. The centre console has two cupholders and a phone-charging tray, the rear seats have their own climate control panel, and the reviewer pointed out the refrigerator in the armrest box, an NFC card key and a panoramic glass roof with a sunshade. The reviewer said the electric front seats on the display car offer ventilation and massage, and the launch offer includes a free zero-gravity front seat pack with 16-way driver and 10-way passenger adjustment.
Technology & Features
The cockpit runs HarmonySpace 5.2, Huawei's latest in-car system, across two 15.6-inch 2.5K panels and an 8.8-inch driver display. The Ultra and Ultra+ also get a 29-inch AR head-up display, a feature the reviewer confirmed when he pointed out the HUD on the demo car. The interface on the display car was in English, including the settings, drive-mode and seat ventilation menus, although Voyah has not announced any export plans. The Max, the cheapest trim, goes without the head-up display, the fridge and the power-closing doors that come on the Ultra and Ultra+, according to a Chinese buying guide. The car also has a 360-degree camera and a full set of parking sensors, and the reviewer noted the Huawei parking system that Voyah shares with Avatr and AITO.
Safety & ADAS
Driver assistance is the headline. The four-LiDAR setup pairs a roof-mounted 896-line dual-optical-path main LiDAR with three solid-state blind-spot units, and 33 sensors feed Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5. It supports highway and city navigate-on-autopilot and parking-to-parking assistance, and Voyah claims the main LiDAR can pick out a 14 cm object at 120 m. This is still an L2+ driver-assistance system, not self-driving, and the claims come from the manufacturer rather than independent testing. For comparison, the Xiaomi YU7 uses a single roof LiDAR, against four on every Passion S.
| ADAS LEVEL | L2+ (Huawei Qiankun ADS 5) |
|---|---|
| ADAS FEATURES | Four LiDARs (896-line main + 3 blind-spot), 33 sensors, highway and city NOA, parking-to-parking, 360° camera, parking sensors |

Pricing & Availability
The Passion S went on sale in China on August 15, 2026, at Voyah's User Night event in Chengdu. Official prices are CNY 229,900 for the Max, CNY 255,900 for the Ultra and CNY 279,900 for the Ultra+, about $34,300, $38,200 and $41,800. Limited-time launch prices are CNY 223,900, CNY 249,900 and CNY 273,900 (about $33,400, $37,300 and $40,900), valid through September 30, 2026, together with perks that Chinese launch coverage totals at up to CNY 55,000: a CNY 2,000 deposit that counts as CNY 8,000, a free zero-gravity seat pack valued at CNY 20,000, a CNY 21,000 voucher toward Huawei's advanced driver-assistance features, low-rate financing and a lifetime warranty on the battery, motors and electronics, alongside a 5-year or 100,000 km vehicle warranty. When pre-sales opened on July 24, the top trim was priced at CNY 309,900 and drew 10,347 orders in the first hour, so the launch price of the Ultra+ is CNY 30,000 lower. The reviewer, an export dealer, said this is a new model that is not ready to export yet, and Voyah has not announced overseas sales for the Passion S.
How It Compares
The closest match is the Xiaomi YU7 Pro, an all-wheel-drive SUV with 365 kW (489 hp), a 96.3 kWh battery and 770 km of CLTC range, listed at the same CNY 279,900 as the Passion S Ultra+. For that money Voyah offers 148 more horsepower, four LiDARs instead of one and 5,050 mm of length against 4,999 mm, while the YU7 gives back 70 km of rated range. At the entry level, the rear-drive YU7 Standard costs CNY 233,500, which is CNY 3,600 more than the Passion S Max, for 315 hp and 643 km against the Voyah's 402 hp and 630 km. The Audi E7X is in the same size class at 5,049 mm and its 500 kW (670 hp) dual-motor Pioneer quattro trim edges the Ultra+ on power, but it costs CNY 329,800, about CNY 50,000 more, for 635 km of CLTC range. The trade-off is badge and brand: the Voyah wins on hardware per yuan, while Audi and Xiaomi are better-known names.
- Four LiDARs and Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 come standard on every trim, from about $34,300
- 800V 5C charging claims 20-80% in about 10 minutes, and the LFP packs run to 740 km CLTC
- The 637 hp Ultra+ has 148 more horsepower than the same-priced Xiaomi YU7 Pro
- Large usable space, with a 584 L boot (1,744 L folded) plus an 80 L frunk
- Range is CLTC-rated, the 740 km figure applies only to the rear-drive Ultra, and the fastest Ultra+ drops to 700 km
- The entry Max has no AR-HUD, fridge or power-closing doors, and air suspension is reserved for the top trim
- Limited-time launch pricing and perks end on September 30, 2026, and no export plan has been announced
The Passion S is one of the strongest hardware-for-the-money packages in China's mid-size and large electric SUV class: four LiDARs, 800V 5C charging, a large boot and frunk, and up to 637 hp for the same list price as a Xiaomi YU7 Pro. The trade-offs are unproven independent range and driver-assistance results and no confirmed path outside China. If you shop in China and want the most technology per yuan around $34,000 to $42,000, the Ultra with its 740 km range looks like the sweet spot, and we would wait for independent tests of the ADS 5 system before buying on the promise alone.
