Performance & Specs
The dual-motor cars pair a 160 kW front motor with a 230 kW rear motor for 390 kW (523 hp). The tri-motor EREV makes 635 kW (851 hp) and 718 Nm. 0-100 km/h takes 4.3 s in the 5-seat EV, 4.9 s in the dual-motor EREV and 4.6 s in the 5-seat tri-motor.
The EREV uses a 1.5 L turbo engine only as a generator (80 kW maximum), with a 65 kWh 800 V battery and a 50 L tank. The EV has a 97 kWh pack. Rear steering of up to 12 degrees gives the tri-motor a 5.05 m turning radius, and kerb weight starts at 2,604 kg (EV).

Pricing & Availability
The S800 launched on 30 May 2025 at CNY 708,000-1,018,000. The March 2026 update with the new LiDAR moved the entry price to CNY 728,000, while the older 192-line LiDAR cars started from CNY 708,000; the current official line-up lists only the six 896-line versions. The CNY 1,388,000 (~$208,200) Grand Design is a separate car, covered in our Grand Design article. JAC said in September 2026 that cumulative S800 deliveries would pass 20,000 that month, and called the S800 the top seller in China's million-yuan luxury segment for 10 straight months.
How It Compares
The entry S800 costs about $6,000 less than our NIO ET9 (CNY 768,000), and the tri-motor at CNY 808,000 (~$121,200) adds 154 hp for about $6,000 more. The Zeekr 9X is a six-seat EREV SUV with 885 hp that starts at CNY 465,900 in China, roughly $39,000 below the S800 entry; the six-seat Ultra is listed at EUR 119,500 in Europe.
- Six versions from $109,200, with 1,333 km combined range
- 851 hp tri-motor in a 5.48 m sedan
- 10.5-minute 10-80% charge on the EREV
- 896-line LiDAR on the 2026 cars
- Sold only in China
- The starry-sky roof is a CNY 80,000 option
- EREV runs only 340-400 km on battery
- Top version costs CNY 1,018,000 (~$152,700)
The standard S800 gives the Maextro look and Huawei technology for roughly half the Grand Design price. Best for buyers in China who want a chauffeur-class flagship sedan below CNY 1 million, with 1,333 km of combined range and fast charging in about 10 minutes. The CNY 728,000 EREV is the sensible pick, and the tri-motor at CNY 808,000 is the value step up for power. The four-seat Executive at CNY 1,018,000 (~$152,700) is the chauffeur-first choice. Buyers outside China cannot order one officially.
