The Chevrolet Blazer EV is General Motors' two-row electric midsize SUV, built on the company's dedicated EV platform and sold in the United States in LT, RS and SS trims. For the 2027 model year the headline change is a native NACS charge port, which replaces the CCS socket of earlier cars and gives direct access to Tesla Superchargers without an adapter. Chevrolet's own page lists an EPA-estimated range of 312 miles (502 km) for the front-wheel-drive LT (the RS FWD figure is not separately confirmed) and 302 miles (486 km) for the SS, which is a BEV (battery-electric) performance model rated at 615 hp with the Wide Open Watts launch mode. Chevrolet's site lists the LT as "starting at $45,000", the RS at $50,800 and the SS at $60,700 before destination, after GM raised the LT and RS by $300 in October 2026 (the SS price is unchanged). The 2027 car is also the first Blazer EV to offer the eight-speaker Bose audio system on the LT and RS, through the Super Cruise package.
Performance & Specs
Chevrolet publishes full output figures only for the top trim. The Blazer EV SS is an all-wheel-drive BEV with 615 hp (459 kW) and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque when Wide Open Watts mode is engaged, and Chevrolet quotes a GM-estimated 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds. It is also the only trim with the larger battery pack and it comes with Super Cruise and a three-year OnStar Super Cruise plan as standard. Some outlets list the SS at 557 hp without explaining the difference, and Chevrolet itself only prints the 615 hp number.
For the LT and RS, chevrolet.com prints no horsepower or torque figures, so the numbers here come from GM Authority (12 October 2026). The front-wheel-drive LT and RS have a single motor rated at 220 hp (164 kW) and 243 lb-ft (329 Nm), and the dual-motor AWD LT and RS are rated at 300 hp (224 kW) and 355 lb-ft (481 Nm), per GM Authority; chevrolet.com prints no figures. The EPA's 2027 certification records list motor ratings of 150 kW for the FWD car and 70 kW plus 150 kW for the AWD car; these are certification ratings and do not map directly onto the peak outputs above. (1 kW is about 1.341 hp.)
The EPA range figures, which are the official ones, are 312 miles (502 km) for the FWD LT on standard wheels, 283 miles (455 km) for the AWD car and for the FWD car on 22-inch tyres, and 302 miles (486 km) for the SS. The 312-mile figure is unverified for the RS FWD, which has 21-inch wheels. The combined ratings are 104, 94 and 85 MPGe for FWD, AWD and SS. A sanity check on the SS: its 102 kWh pack over 302 miles implies about 21 kWh/100 km at the battery, while the EPA's wall-to-wheel figure of 39.7 kWh per 100 miles (about 24.7 kWh/100 km) is some 17 percent higher, which fits normal charging losses given that GM does not publish usable capacity.

The Blazer EV is a conventional five-seat SUV with a long wheelbase, so rear-seat room is its main practical advantage over smaller electric crossovers. Chevrolet quotes 59.1 cubic feet (about 1,674 L) of maximum cargo space with the 60/40 rear seats folded, and CarBuzz lists about 25.5 cubic feet (722 L) behind the second row. The body is 192.2 inches (4,882 mm) long on the LT and RS and 192.6 inches (4,892 mm) on the SS, with a 121.8-inch (3,094 mm) wheelbase and a height of 65.0 inches (1,651 mm). Kelley Blue Book lists curb weights of 5,163 lb (2,342 kg) for the LT AWD, 5,236 lb (2,375 kg) for the RS AWD and 5,730 lb (2,599 kg) for the SS. Towing is rated at 1,500 lb (680 kg) on the LT and RS, and the SS is listed as not rated for towing.

Charging & Battery
The 2027 car's most useful upgrade is the standard NACS port. Chevrolet says it opens access to more than 250,000 public chargers across North America, and Electrek reports GM is adding NACS ports to its US electric models, starting with the 2026 Cadillac Optiq. GM will still sell adapters for CCS Level 2 chargers, and Chevrolet ships a standard Dual Level charge cord for 120 V and 240 V home charging. The EPA lists a full 240 V charge as 9.5 hours for the 85 kWh cars and 11.2 hours for the 102 kWh SS.
Chevrolet's own page gives no DC peak figure. UMI Israel quotes up to 150 kW for the RS AWD, and third-party listings give the same 150 kW for the LT and RS and up to 190 kW for the SS, so only the RS AWD figure comes from an importer. Kelley Blue Book reports a Chevrolet estimate of about 40 minutes for 10 to 80 percent, and Edmunds measured an average of 114 kW across that range on a dual-motor RS, so the real-world time is in the same region. Plug and Charge, which starts a session automatically at compatible public stations, works through the myChevrolet app once the owner is enrolled in Energy Pass.

Design & Interior
The Blazer EV has a wide, low front end with a full-width light bar and an illuminated Chevrolet bowtie that animates on the RS and SS, and the press images show the strong rear shoulders and the vertical taillights with the Blazer lettering on the tailgate. A black two-tone roof is standard on the RS and SS and available on the LT, and wheel sizes climb from the LT's standard rims to 21 inches on the RS and 22-inch gloss black wheels on the SS. The RS adds a black grille panel, a black lower fascia and gloss black rocker moldings, and walk-up lighting is available.
Inside, the dashboard carries the 17.7-inch centre touchscreen and a driver display above a horizontal air-vent strip, and the press photos show two interior colour schemes, one with red seats and ambient lighting. Chevrolet lists performance seating and an available race-car-inspired flat-bottom steering wheel, and the RS has two unique interior designs with ambient lighting. The rear bench is a 60/40 split that folds to a flat load floor, and the SS is the only trim with a standard Bose audio system, which the LT and RS can now add through the Super Cruise package.
Technology & Features
Every Blazer EV has a 17.7-inch centre touchscreen with Google built-in, and Chevrolet now lists an available Google Gemini assistant as well. OnStar Basics is standard for eight years and covers remote commands, automatic crash response and real-time navigation, and the myChevrolet app handles route planning and charger search. The Super Cruise package at $3,795 bundles the RS Convenience and Driver Confidence package, a heated rear wiper, a head-up display, enhanced parking assist, Super Cruise itself and, new for 2027, the eight-speaker Bose system, according to Electrek and GM Authority. The Bose system remains standard on the SS.
Safety & ADAS
Chevrolet lists more than 15 standard safety and driver-assistance features for the 2027 Blazer EV, including the six-feature Chevy Safety Assist package with forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a following-distance indicator and IntelliBeam automatic high beams. Super Cruise adds hands-free driving on compatible roads and, on compatible models, automatic lane changes, and it is standard on the SS with a three-year OnStar plan. Chevrolet notes that driver assistance does not replace the driver's responsibility, and the driver has to stay attentive at all times.
| ADAS LEVEL | SAE Level 2 (Super Cruise hands-free, driver must supervise); level not printed by Chevrolet |

Pricing & Availability
Chevrolet's US site lists the 2027 Blazer EV LT as "starting at $45,000", the RS at $50,800 and the SS at $60,700. The $1,795 destination charge does not appear in the page's visible text, but GM Authority's 12 October 2026 price list includes it: $46,795 for the LT FWD, $49,795 for the LT AWD, $52,595 for the RS FWD, $55,595 for the RS AWD and $62,495 for the SS. GM raised the LT and RS by $300 in October 2026 (Electrek reported the LT FWD at $44,700 and the RS FWD at $50,500 in August), the SS price is unchanged, and AWD adds $3,000. Super Cruise on the LT and RS costs $3,795, up $540 from last year because the Bose system now comes in the package. The prices above carry no federal incentive: the US federal EV tax credit ended for vehicles acquired after 30 September 2025.
The 2027 Blazer EV has been available to order since August 2026, and it is built at GM's Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. GM Authority reports, from Natural Resources Canada data, that Canadian-market 2027 cars may be offered only with all-wheel drive, and Canadian 2027 prices have not been confirmed. In Israel, Chevrolet is imported by UMI, which began selling the Blazer EV after a launch on 11 February 2026. It is on sale as the RS dual-motor AWD only, a 2026 model with 300 hp, an 85 kWh battery, 455 km EPA range and 150 kW DC charging, at ILS 389,990 (about $127,900 at 1 USD = 3.0482 ILS); the 2027 Israeli price has not been announced.
How It Compares
All four are US prices and EPA ranges. The Cadillac Optiq is the Blazer EV's GM sibling and it starts at $49,995 with 315 hp and 317 miles, so the Chevrolet LT undercuts it by about $5,000 and the RS FWD at $50,800 is about the same money for a larger body. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is much cheaper, from $35,250 for the SE Standard Range at 245 miles, and the extended-range RWD versions reach 318 miles, which is more than the Blazer's 312, so the Chevrolet has to win on size and equipment. The Tesla Model Y Premium AWD costs $49,990 for 327 miles, against about $53,800 for a Blazer EV RS AWD ($50,800 plus $3,000, before destination), and it goes about 44 miles further than the Chevrolet AWD's 283. The Blazer EV's claim is a roomy cabin, the 615 hp SS with a 3.4 second 0-60 time and, from 2027, access to the same Supercharger network as the Tesla.
- Standard NACS port for 2027, with direct Tesla Supercharger access and more than 250,000 public chargers, according to Chevrolet
- Up to 312 miles (502 km) EPA on the FWD LT, and 302 miles (486 km) on the 615 hp SS
- SS performance of 615 hp, 650 lb-ft and 3.4 s to 60 mph, with Super Cruise standard
- Prices from $45,000 to $60,700 before destination are well above the Ioniq 5 ($35,250) and the Model Y Standard ($39,990), and the AWD car loses range to 283 miles
- chevrolet.com prints no horsepower for the LT and RS, and the FWD output of 220 hp (per GM Authority) is modest for a 5,000 lb SUV
The 2027 Blazer EV fixes its biggest practical complaint by adding a standard NACS port, keeps its range at 312 miles on the FWD LT, although GM raised the LT and RS by $300 in October. It is a roomy, quick-charging family SUV with a standout 615 hp SS, but the LT and RS are priced above rivals that offer similar or longer range. The RS FWD at around $50,800 is the sensible centre of the line-up, while buyers who mainly care about price per mile should look at the Ioniq 5 first.
