The Audi Q6 e-tron is Audi's first production car on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) that it developed with Porsche, and more than two years after its 2024 debut it has grown into a family of eight variants. The SUV and the coupe-style Sportback each come as a rear-drive entry model with an 83 kWh battery, a rear-drive performance model, a quattro all-wheel-drive model and an S version, the SQ6 e-tron. All of them use an 800-volt architecture and charge at up to 270 kW (225 kW on the 83 kWh entry model). Audi is not presenting a new car this autumn but a model-year update: new software, a returning scroll wheel, an optional dashcam and a Power Nap mode, plus a more powerful quattro in Europe and a quattro-only line-up in the United States. Germany lists the Q6 e-tron from EUR 63,500 including VAT, the United States from $64,500 and the UK from GBP 60,565. In Israel the importer, Champion Motors, lists it from NIS 404,900.
Performance & Specs
Four power levels sit under the Q6 name. The entry Q6 e-tron has one rear permanent-magnet motor with 185 kW (252 PS, about 248 hp) and 450 Nm, rising to 215 kW (292 PS, about 288 hp) with launch control, and needs 7.6 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h (7.0 seconds with launch control). The Q6 e-tron performance keeps the rear-drive layout but makes 225 kW (306 PS, about 302 hp) and 485 Nm, or 240 kW (326 PS, about 322 hp) with launch control, with 6.7 seconds to 100 km/h (6.6 seconds with launch control). All figures here are Audi Germany's published values, and 1 PS is about 0.986 hp, so the PS and hp numbers differ slightly.
The Q6 e-tron quattro adds an asynchronous motor on the front axle. In Europe it now delivers 315 kW (428 PS, about 422 hp), or 340 kW (462 PS, about 456 hp) with launch control, with 580 Nm at the rear and 275 Nm at the front, and reaches 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds (5.1 seconds with launch control). Before the update the European quattro was rated at 285 kW, so the 315 kW figure brings it in line with the 422 hp and 456 hp that Audi of America has quoted for the same car since 2024. The SQ6 e-tron uses the same two motors tuned to 360 kW (489 PS, about 483 hp), or 380 kW (517 PS, about 509 hp) with launch control, and does 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds (4.3 seconds with launch control) with a 230 km/h top speed. The other versions stop at 210 km/h. In the US the quattro is 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds and the SQ6 in 4.1 seconds, both with launch control.
Audi says the rear motor is a more compact and efficient design than earlier Audi electric drives, with hairpin windings, silicon-carbide power electronics and direct oil cooling, and the front motor engages almost instantly under full acceleration. The Q6 can recover energy at up to 220 kW, and a model-year-2027 change lets the one-pedal B mode bring the car to a complete stop without using the friction brakes up to a certain deceleration level, which Audi says helps efficiency.

Charging & Battery
The Q6 uses an 800-volt system with two pack sizes. The entry model has an 83 kWh gross battery with 75.8 kWh net, and every other version has 100 kWh gross. Audi Germany lists 94.9 kWh net for the larger pack, while Audi of America lists 94.4 kWh net for the same 100 kWh pack, so net capacity is quoted as about 94.4 to 94.9 kWh depending on the source. The larger pack accepts up to 270 kW DC, and the 83 kWh pack up to 225 kW; Audi gives about 21 minutes for 10-80% under ideal conditions on both. Audi UK says a 10-minute stop at a 270 kW charger can add up to 167 miles (about 269 km) of range. At home the 11 kW AC onboard charger fills the 83 kWh battery in about 8 hours and the 100 kWh battery in about 10 hours (0-100%, per Audi Germany).
WLTP consumption in Germany ranges from 15.1 kWh/100 km to 19.3 kWh/100 km depending on variant and wheels; these are measured at the plug, which is why they sit above what a simple battery-divided-by-range calculation gives. For the US, the EPA rates the 2027 Q6 e-tron quattro at 325 miles (about 523 km) with 19-inch wheels and 104 MPGe combined, and the SQ6 at 285 miles (about 459 km) with 20-inch wheels. The US-spec cars use a CCS fast-charging port.

Design & Interior
The Q6 e-tron looks like a modern Audi SUV: a Singleframe grille, slim LED headlights with dynamic indicators, heritage-inspired wheel arches and, depending on trim, Digital OLED taillights. Audi UK lists Matrix LED headlights with eight digital light signatures on the top Vorsprung trim or in its Technology Pack. The Sportback keeps the front end but adds a sloping roofline,, and the SQ6 gets S exterior details and 20-inch wheels as standard in Germany. Colours and wheel designs change by market, and an S line black optic package is new for 2027 in the US.
Inside, the focus is the curved Digital Stage. A 11.9-inch OLED virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch OLED MMI touchscreen form one panoramic display angled toward the driver, and an optional 10.9-inch front-passenger display has a privacy mode that hides it from the driver. An augmented-reality head-up display, a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system with headrest speakers and a panoramic roof are available, and the interior uses recycled-fibre fabrics on several seat covers. For model year 2027 Audi of America says the touch-sensitive steering-wheel controls are replaced by a scroll wheel for volume and menu selection, which responds to criticism of the earlier touch-sensitive controls.
Technology & Features
The model-year-2027 update, announced for the US on 5 February 2026, adds a redesigned MMI interface with a 3D model of the owner's car, an available 4K dashcam in the base of the rear-view mirror that records to a removable SD card (standard on US Premium Plus trims and above), and a more capable Audi assistant that can answer questions from the owner's manual and operate driver-assist systems by voice. New "experience worlds" combine lighting, sound, massage and climate settings for 10 to 20 minutes, and a Power Nap mode creates a calm cabin while charging. Passengers can connect Bluetooth headphones or game controllers, and the optional park assist pro gains reverse assist for the last 50 metres. The new drive select assistant, which adapts the drive mode to the driving situation, comes on Prestige trims in the US. Audi UK also lists Plug & Charge, which authorises the car at compatible chargers without a card or app.
Safety & ADAS
Euro NCAP rated the Q6 e-tron five stars in 2024 with 91% for adult occupants, 92% for child occupants, 81% for vulnerable road users and 80% for safety assist, and Audi says it had the best child-protection score of all cars tested in 2023 and 2024. In the US the 2027 Q6 e-tron carries a 2026 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award, according to Audi of America. Standard equipment in Germany includes adaptive speed assist, park assist plus with a rear-view camera and a digital key, while the Tech plus package adds adaptive driving assistant plus, lane departure warning with emergency assist, surround cameras and proactive occupant protection. Audi states that the assistance systems operate only within system limits and that the driver remains responsible; it does not name an SAE automation level.
| ADAS LEVEL | Driver-supervised assistance (no SAE level stated by Audi) |

Pricing & Availability
In Germany Audi's price list shows the Q6 e-tron SUV at EUR 63,500, the performance at EUR 68,800, the quattro at EUR 74,700 and the SQ6 e-tron at EUR 93,800, and the Sportback versions at EUR 65,900, EUR 71,200, EUR 77,100 and EUR 96,200, all including 19% VAT and excluding delivery. The quattro price is the same EUR 74,700 that Audi quoted at the 2024 launch, although its output has since risen from 285 kW to 315 kW. An S line business edition, offered on the performance and quattro models, adds EUR 4,000 to the SUV price. In the UK Audi's headline starting price for the SUV is GBP 60,565 on the road, including VAT, first-year road tax and number plates (its trim list begins at GBP 61,315 for the Sport), the Sportback from GBP 63,065, the SQ6 e-tron from GBP 86,900 and the SQ6 Sportback e-tron from GBP 89,400.
In the United States the 2027 line-up is quattro-only. Audi of America's price list, updated on 9 September 2026, shows the Q6 e-tron from $64,500, the Q6 Sportback e-tron from $68,300, the SQ6 e-tron from $73,200 and the SQ6 Sportback e-tron from $75,600, with the top Prestige trims reaching $79,000, all plus a $1,395 destination fee. The 2025 model-year rear-drive Q6 e-tron started at $63,800, so the cheapest US car now costs $700 more but has all-wheel drive. Audi skipped the 2026 model year in the US, and the 2027 cars were due at dealers in the second quarter of 2026. In Israel iCar and Carzone list the official importer Champion Motors' prices in October 2026 as NIS 404,900 for the Q6 e-tron 45, NIS 454,900 for the 50, NIS 539,900 for the 55 quattro and NIS 566,900 for the SQ6 e-tron, with the Sportback from NIS 424,900. The car launched there in January 2025 from NIS 501,900, and some Israeli sites still show that older price list. Champion Motors' January 2026 spec sheet quotes 387 PS for the Israeli 55 quattro, which equals the earlier 285 kW rating, so Israeli cars may not match the new European 315 kW output.
How It Compares
On German list prices the Q6 e-tron quattro is the most expensive of the Audi, BMW and Mercedes models compared here and has the shortest range on paper. The BMW iX3 50 xDrive costs EUR 3,800 less at EUR 70,900, makes 463 hp, has a 108.7 kWh usable battery and is rated up to 805 km WLTP, against up to 642 km for the Audi. The Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 4MATIC costs EUR 71,281, makes 483 hp and is rated up to 715 km. Both rivals therefore offer more range for slightly less money, although the Audi range also includes the rear-drive 100 kWh performance model from EUR 68,800 with up to 661 km. The Porsche Macan 4 is built on the same PPE platform and charges at the same 270 kW, but costs EUR 85,600, which is EUR 10,900 more than the Q6 quattro, for 402 hp with launch control against the Audi's 456 hp, and is rated at 611 km WLTP.
- 800-volt PPE platform with 270 kW peak DC charging and about 21 minutes for 10-80%, and a wide range of eight variants from 185 kW (248 hp) to 360 kW (483 hp)
- Practical for the class: 526 L boot plus a 64 L frunk, up to 2,400 kg braked towing and a five-star Euro NCAP result
- Model-year-2027 update fixes common complaints with physical scroll-wheel controls, a better one-pedal mode and available dashcam, while German list prices of the 100 kWh versions are unchanged since 2024
- Range and value trail the newest rivals: the quattro is rated up to 642 km WLTP for EUR 74,700, while the BMW iX3 50 xDrive claims up to 805 km for EUR 70,900
- Heavy and pricey at the top: 2,200 to 2,425 kg unladen, and the SQ6 e-tron costs EUR 19,100 more than the quattro in Germany, while its US EPA rating is 285 miles against 325 miles for the quattro
The Q6 e-tron is no longer the newest premium electric SUV, but the 800-volt platform, the 270 kW charging curve and a choice of eight variants still make it a convincing all-rounder. The performance version at EUR 68,800 and up to 661 km WLTP is the sweet spot in Europe, while US buyers now get all-wheel drive from $64,500. Rivals such as the BMW iX3 offer more claimed range for similar money, so the Audi wins on charging speed, interior technology and a mature, well-priced line-up rather than on range. Buyers should compare real prices in their own market, because Israeli and US specifications differ from the German one.
