Lucid has published French prices for the Air sedan and the Gravity SUV, which makes France the sixth European market for the California electric-car maker. The Air starts at €86,900 including VAT for the rear-drive Air Pure, rising through the Touring (€100,900) and Grand Touring (€131,900) to the three-motor Air Sapphire at €252,900 (French press). The Gravity starts at €95,900 for the five-seat Touring and tops out at €148,900 for the Grand Touring Ultimate. Lucid's French site lists WLTP ranges between 694 and 960 km for the Air and 536 to 739 km for the Gravity, and peak outputs from 325 kW (442 PS, about 436 hp) to 920 kW (1,251 PS, about 1,234 hp). The cars were shown to the French public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show (12 to 18 October 2026), but sales have not opened yet: reservations are possible now, and Lucid says orders should open in the first quarter of 2027.
Performance & Specs
Every figure below is a battery-electric (BEV) figure from Lucid's French configurator pages, where Lucid prints power in kW and in ch, the French name for the metric horsepower (PS). One PS is about 1.4 percent smaller than the imperial hp used in this article. The Air Pure is a single-motor rear-wheel-drive car with 325 kW (442 PS, about 436 hp) and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.7 seconds. The Air Touring adds a second motor and all-wheel drive for 462 kW (628 PS, about 619 hp) and 3.6 seconds, and the Air Grand Touring reaches 611 kW (831 PS, about 820 hp) and 3.2 seconds. The top of the range is the Air Sapphire, which Lucid describes as the only version able to reach 920 kW (1,251 PS, about 1,234 hp) and 0-100 km/h in 2.0 seconds; French press reports tie that to three motors and a 330 km/h top speed, and Lucid's French Air comparison table lists only the Pure, Touring and Grand Touring.
The Gravity is all-wheel drive on every version. The Touring and Touring Plus produce 418 kW (568 PS, about 560 hp) and reach 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, while the Grand Touring and Grand Touring Ultimate raise output to 617 kW (839 PS, about 828 hp) and cut the sprint to 3.6 seconds. Lucid prints no torque, top-speed or battery figures for the Air on its French pages, so this article leaves them out rather than borrowing North American numbers that may not match the European cars.

The Air is a long, low four-door sedan, 4,975 mm long on a 2,960 mm wheelbase and only 1,409 mm high. Lucid's French page stresses rear-seat knee room and a front trunk for luggage, but it prints no boot volume, so none is quoted here. The Gravity is a full-size SUV, 5,035 mm long on a 3,035 mm wheelbase and 1,658 mm high, with an optional third row: the Touring is a five-seater and the Touring Plus, Grand Touring and Grand Touring Ultimate seat up to seven adults. Lucid says the second and third rows fold flat for up to 3,398 litres of cargo space, with a turning circle of 11.7 metres (as listed for the Grand Touring) and a towing capacity of up to 2,500 kg on the Grand Touring, depending on load and equipment.

Charging & Battery
Lucid's French pages quote charging as the time needed to add 400 km of WLTP range on a DC fast charger rather than as a peak power in kW. On that basis the Air Pure and Air Touring need 20 minutes, the Air Grand Touring 16 minutes, the Gravity Touring and Touring Plus 23 minutes and the Gravity Grand Touring and Ultimate 14 minutes, the Gravity figure being measured on a 350 kW charger. Battery sizes are not printed on Lucid's French pages, but French and German launch coverage gives 88 kWh for the Air Pure (the European EV Database lists it as usable capacity), 89 kWh for the Gravity Touring and 123 kWh for the Gravity Grand Touring, with gross or net not stated; the Touring Plus and Ultimate are assumed to use the same packs as the Touring and Grand Touring. A quick check shows these fit the official consumption: the Air Pure's 831 km at 11.8 kWh/100 km implies about 98 kWh drawn from the grid, roughly 11 percent more than 88 kWh, and the Gravity Grand Touring's 739 km at 18.4 kWh/100 km implies about 136 kWh from the grid against 123 kWh, which is a normal charging loss.
| BATTERY | Per press: Air Pure 88 kWh (usable per EV Database); Gravity Touring 89 kWh (Touring Plus assumed the same); Gravity Grand Touring 123 kWh (Ultimate assumed the same); gross or net not stated for the Gravity; other Air versions not published |

Design & Interior
The Air is a low, smooth sedan with a panoramic glass-roof option, a slim light bar across the front and a full-width tail light. Lucid says the interior comes in four colour schemes with up to 20 power adjustments for the front seats, which can be heated, ventilated and massaging, and describes a rear bench with unusual knee room for a sedan. The Gravity is a taller, wedge-shaped SUV with a large tailgate, a five-colour palette, a choice of Stealth or Platinum exterior looks and five interior themes inspired by California. Lucid sells it with 20- and 21-inch wheels on the Touring versions, 20- and 21-inch or 21- and 22-inch wheels on the Grand Touring and 22- and 23-inch wheels on the Ultimate, and range figures fall as wheels grow: the Grand Touring is rated at 739 km on the smaller set and 718 km on the larger one.
The top Gravity is aimed at buyers who want a seven-seat performance car. The Grand Touring Ultimate adds Nappa leather seats, the 22-speaker Surreal Sound Pro audio system with Dolby Atmos and, according to Automobile Propre, rear-wheel steering and a three-chamber air suspension. Lucid also quotes a World Car Awards title for the Gravity as world luxury car of 2026, which is Lucid's own claim on its French page.
Technology & Features
The Air's cabin is dominated by a 34-inch curved display that sits behind the steering wheel, with a second touchscreen called the Pilot Panel on the right of the driver controlling comfort, seats and navigation. Lucid's mobile app works with every Lucid and gives access to the car from a phone. The Gravity carries a multi-zone climate system with four zones, dynamic ambient lighting inspired by Californian landscapes, and front massaging seats as options. Lucid's own video library shows Apple CarPlay and Android Auto working in the Gravity, although the French pages do not say whether either is available at launch in France.
Safety & ADAS
Lucid's DreamDrive driver-assistance suite is available on both models: the Air's page describes a 3D surround view and blind-spot warnings, while the Gravity uses DreamDrive 2, which senses the environment around the car and helps with parking and driving. Lucid cautions on its French pages that DreamDrive and the safety systems supplement and do not replace attentive driving. The Gravity's page adds an aluminium safety structure with engineered crumple zones, and the Touring version includes DreamDrive 2 Premium as standard, with DreamDrive 2 Pro on the Grand Touring Ultimate according to French press.
| ADAS LEVEL | Driver assistance (level not stated by Lucid) |
|---|---|
| ADAS FEATURES | DreamDrive (Air); DreamDrive 2 Premium (Gravity Touring); DreamDrive 2 Pro (Gravity Grand Touring Ultimate); surround view and blind-spot warning |

Pricing & Availability
Lucid's French site lists the Air from €86,900 and the Gravity from €95,900, including VAT. The prices are indicative, may change without notice and do not include registration fees or options, and Lucid says only the price displayed when an order is placed will apply. The full French list is: Air Pure €86,900, Air Touring €100,900, Air Grand Touring €131,900, Gravity Touring €95,900, Gravity Touring Plus €99,900, Gravity Grand Touring €120,900 and Gravity Grand Touring Ultimate €148,900. The Air Sapphire at €252,900 comes from French press coverage of the price list (Automobile Propre, Mac4Ever and Journal des Flottes agree), because the Sapphire is not in the Air comparison table on Lucid's French page. Lucid's pages say nothing about bonus or malus status.
Lucid announced its French entry in September 2026 and named Emil Frey France, the importer of Mitsubishi and Subaru, as its operational partner; Lucid says it keeps control of the brand, sales strategy and customer relationship. The company said that orders are expected to open in the first quarter of 2027, when the first three retail and service locations should open, and that it plans more than 16 partner locations by the end of 2027. The cities have not been named and no delivery dates have been announced. French buyers can already register or reserve on Lucid's French site to be first in line, and the Paris Motor Show stand (hall 7.1) showed only the Grand Touring versions of both cars.
How It Compares
The Air's selling point is range. At 960 km WLTP the Air Grand Touring lists about 233 km more than the BMW i7's best 727 km and about 338 km more than the Audi e-tron GT's 622 km, while its 820 hp is above the i7's 671 hp top figure and below the e-tron GT's 912 hp with Launch Control. On price the Air Grand Touring at €131,900 lands inside the i7 range (€121,400 to €182,400 in Germany) and above the entry e-tron GT at €108,900, but the cheaper Air Pure at €86,900 still lists 831 km and 436 hp. For the Gravity, the closest catalog rival is the Porsche Cayenne Electric. The Gravity Grand Touring offers 739 km against up to 642 km for the Cayenne Electric SUV, and 828 hp against the Cayenne's 845 hp without Launch Control (about 1,140 hp with it), at €120,900 against €105,200 for the entry Cayenne Electric. The rival prices are German list prices because we have no French list for those cars, so treat the gaps as a guide rather than an exact French comparison.
- WLTP ranges of 831 km (Air Pure) and 960 km (Air Grand Touring), well above the German-market BMW i7 (727 km) and Audi e-tron GT (622 km)
- The Gravity offers 568 to 839 PS (560 to 828 hp), up to seven seats and 400 km of charging in 14 minutes in Grand Touring form
- A published French price ladder from €86,900 (Air Pure) and €95,900 (Gravity Touring) up to €148,900 for the top Gravity
- Orders are not open until the first quarter of 2027, with no delivery dates and only three retail locations planned at first
- Lucid's French pages omit battery sizes for most Air versions, peak DC power in kW, AC charging and torque, so buyers cannot yet compare these against rivals
On paper, Lucid's French line-up is the most compelling range-first challenge to the German premium electric sedans and SUVs. The Air Grand Touring's 960 km WLTP and the Air Pure's 831 km at €86,900 are figures the BMW i7 and Audi e-tron GT cannot match, and the Gravity's 739 km and 14-minute charging time make it a serious seven-seat alternative. The trade-off is the launch timing: with orders still a quarter away, a small partner network and several key specifications unpublished, the French offer is a statement of intent more than a buyable product today. Reserve if the range matters to you, but wait for delivery dates and service coverage before committing.
