The 2027 Geely Xingrui L PLUS, badged Preface+ on its tailgate, is a 4,956 mm B-segment sedan with a conventional full-hybrid (HEV) powertrain that cannot be plugged in. Geely calls the system i-HEV: a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine rated at 120 kW (163 PS / 161 hp) and 255 Nm works with a P1+P3 dual-motor system whose traction motor makes 175 kW (238 PS / 235 hp) and 262 Nm. Geely quotes 3.98 L/100 km on the WLTC cycle on 92-octane petrol for the entry trim, more than 1,000 km of combined range and 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. The car went on sale in China on 17 October 2026 after a global launch event at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit, and the four hybrid trims cost CNY 119,700 to CNY 149,700 ($17,853 to $22,327) at guide price, with a limited-time launch price that starts at CNY 109,700 ($16,361). The top trim carries a lidar and Geely's Qianli Haohan H5 driver-assistance system, which Geely describes as a first for a Chinese-brand B-segment petrol-powered sedan. The same body is also sold with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which this article leaves aside because it is not electrified.
Performance & Specs
The i-HEV system pairs a hybrid-dedicated 1.5-litre turbo engine, rated at 120 kW (163 PS / 161 hp) and 255 Nm, with an 11-in-1 integrated electric drive and a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). The traction motor is rated at 175 kW (238 PS / 235 hp) and 262 Nm. Geely has not published one combined system output, so this article gives no total horsepower and uses the 175 kW motor as the headline figure, labelled as such. Geely quotes 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds for the hybrid and has not published a top speed.
In a P1+P3 layout one electric motor works with the engine as a starter and generator, while the second, the 175 kW P3 motor, is the main traction motor. Geely says the car can drive on electric power alone at speeds up to 66 km/h, and that it needs no external charging, so the battery is topped up by the engine and by braking energy only. The official fuel consumption is 3.98 L/100 km on the WLTC cycle on 92-octane petrol for the entry trim on 18-inch wheels (the 19-inch trims are rated 4.3 L/100 km in Geely's configuration table), and Geely and Chinese state media quote a combined range of more than 1,000 km. With the 58-litre tank that claim is plausible: 58 L at 3.98 L/100 km is about 1,457 km and at 4.3 L/100 km about 1,349 km, before any reserve.
Geely's official configuration table lists a 58-litre fuel tank, front-wheel drive and a kerb weight of 1,600 kg for the 18-inch entry trim and 1,655 kg for the 19-inch trims. The same table rates the entry trim at 3.98 L/100 km and the 19-inch trims at 4.3 L/100 km (WLTC). Geely has not published the hybrid battery capacity or the top speed, and the tables below show those fields as unpublished instead of guessing. Chinese outlets disagree on the DHT: Autohome lists a single-speed unit and one Sina report says three-speed, so the gear count is not given here.

|---|---|
| Width | 1,915 mm |
| Height | 1,505 mm |
| Wheelbase | 2,845 mm |
| Boot | 566 L |
The Xingrui L PLUS sits on Geely's CMA architecture and is a large car for its price: 4,956 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,505 mm high on a 2,845 mm wheelbase. That makes it roughly 13 cm longer than the first-generation Xingrui, which measured 4,825 mm with a 2,800 mm wheelbase, and Geely calls it a wide-body B-segment sedan. The boot holds 566 litres with the rear seats up, according to launch reports, and a folded-seat figure has not been published. The car seats five and rides on 18-inch or 19-inch wheels depending on the trim. Geely claims 84.5 percent space utilisation and says the front shoulder room and rear headroom are the largest in its class, but those are manufacturer claims. The suspension is MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link layout at the rear, and Geely quotes a body torsional stiffness of 29,000 Nm per degree, a moose-test speed of 80.2 km/h and a 100 to 0 km/h braking distance of 34.4 metres. Geely lists a kerb weight of 1,600 kg for the 18-inch entry trim and 1,655 kg for the 19-inch trims.

Charging & Battery
The Xingrui L PLUS i-HEV has no charging socket, so there is nothing to plug in. Its battery is a small hybrid pack that is charged by the engine and by regenerative braking, and its job is to let the electric motors assist and to allow driving on electric power alone at up to 66 km/h. Geely has not published the battery capacity or chemistry for this car, and the one Chinese article that mentions a ternary-lithium pack is about a different model, the larger Xingyue L PLUS SUV, so no capacity is given here. Because the car cannot be charged externally, buyers may miss out on the new-energy-vehicle plates or purchase-tax treatment that plug-in cars receive in some Chinese cities, depending on local policy, which matters when comparing it with plug-in rivals at a similar price.
| BATTERY | Small hybrid battery, capacity not published |
|---|---|

Design & Interior
Geely calls the styling "Eastern Timing" design language. The nose is dominated by a tall grille with 31 vertical chrome strips and dual-lens LED headlights, the roofline slopes into a short rear deck with a small spoiler, and a full-width light bar with the Geely name runs across the tailgate, above the Preface+ and i-HEV badges. The car is offered in six exterior colours, including a maple red, a blue, a silver and a white. Inside, the dashboard has a floating 15.4-inch 2.5K central screen next to a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a 256-colour ambient light strip and diamond-quilted seats. Interior trims are black suede, beige leather or black leather. From the Zhuxing the front seats are heated and ventilated, and on the Yaoxing all four seats are; a 14-point massage function in the front comes from the Langxing and extends to the rear seats on the Yaoxing, which also gets a rear centre console and a fold-out rear table. A small desktop robot called EVA sits on the dashboard of some trims.
Technology & Features
The infotainment runs Meizu's Flyme Auto 2 on a Longying No. 1 chip, which Geely lists with an 8 TOPS neural processor, 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Geely also lists a 23-speaker Flyme Sound audio system on the Zhuxing and above; the entry trim has eight speakers. A 16.6-inch full-colour windscreen head-up display is fitted on the Langxing and Yaoxing. Phone connectivity covers Flyme Link, Huawei HiCar and Apple CarPlay. The electronics use Geely's GEEA 3.0 architecture with over-the-air updates. The suspension offers CCD continuously variable dampers with comfort, standard and sport modes from the Zhuxing upward, which Chinese state media reports were tuned with Lotus engineers.
Safety & ADAS
All trims have 11 airbags and a full-scenario tyre blow-out stability system that Geely currently lists as a limited-time free extra, and Geely says the body was developed to the latest C-NCAP five-star standard. The entry trims have L2 driver assistance. The top Yaoxing trim adds the Qianli Haohan H5 system, built around 1 lidar, 3 millimetre-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors, and supporting highway and city navigation assist and memory parking over a learned route of up to 3 km. Automatic emergency braking, rated for speeds up to 130 km/h, is fitted to every trim. Geely says it is the first Chinese-brand B-segment petrol-powered sedan with a lidar. A C-NCAP or Euro NCAP score for the finished car has not been published, so the five-star line is a design target and not a test result.
| ADAS LEVEL | L2 on entry trims; Qianli Haohan H5 with lidar on the top trim |

Pricing & Availability
Geely first showed the Xingrui L PLUS in July 2026, opened pre-sales on 16 September 2026 and put the car on sale on 17 October 2026 at a global launch event at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. The official guide prices of the four hybrid trims are CNY 119,700 for the Qixing, CNY 129,700 for the Zhuxing, CNY 139,700 for the Langxing and CNY 149,700 for the Yaoxing, which is about $17,853, $19,344, $20,836 and $22,327 at 6.7048 yuan per US dollar. A limited-time launch offer takes CNY 10,000 off the entry and top hybrid trims, giving CNY 109,700 ($16,361) and CNY 139,700 ($20,836), and Geely also credits a CNY 1,000 deposit as CNY 11,000 off the price during the launch period. The end date of the offer has not been published, and dealer discounts vary, so the transaction price should be confirmed with a dealer. Autohome lists the i-HEV trims as 2027 model-year cars.
The car is sold only in China for now. The tailgate badge reads Preface+, and Preface is the export name of the Xingrui line, but Geely has not announced a launch outside China for the L PLUS as of October 2026. It should not be confused with the Xingyue L PLUS, a larger SUV sold abroad as the Monjaro, or with the smaller first-generation Xingrui i-HEV that Geely pre-sold in April 2026. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol Xingrui L PLUS, with 200 kW and an eight-speed automatic, costs CNY 123,700 to CNY 153,700 and is outside the scope of this article.
How It Compares
The Xingrui L PLUS is priced a step above the plug-in hybrid sedans in our catalogue, so this is a value contrast and not a like-for-like cross-shop. The Geely Galaxy A7 PHEV is a plug-in sedan with an 82 kW engine and a 175 kW (about 235 hp) motor, 150 km of CLTC electric range on the entry version and more than 2,100 km of total range, starting at CNY 97,800 (about $14,587). The L PLUS entry trim costs about $3,300 more and the top trim about $7,700 more, and for that money it adds a 4,956 mm body, a 16.6-inch head-up display on the higher trims and, on the top trim, a lidar, but no electric range to speak of. The BYD Qin L DM-i, a 161 hp plug-in with up to 210 km of CLTC electric range, starts at CNY 96,800 (about $14,437), about $3,400 less than the L PLUS entry trim. The L PLUS argument is simplicity and equipment: no charging habit, a rated 3.98 L/100 km (WLTC) and, on the top trim, lidar-based driver assistance. Rival figures come from CarNewsChina's 2026 launch reports (the older entries in our catalog show launch-time prices and ranges) and use the Chinese CLTC cycle for electric range, which is more optimistic than WLTP, while the Geely's consumption is WLTC, so the fuel numbers are not like for like.
- Official WLTC fuel consumption from 3.98 L/100 km in a 4,956 mm sedan, with 7.7 s from 0 to 100 km/h from a 175 kW (235 hp) motor and a 120 kW (161 hp) engine
- Starts at CNY 119,700 ($17,853) with a 566 L boot, a 15.4-inch screen and 11 airbags on every trim
- The top trim brings lidar and Qianli Haohan H5 driver assistance with city and highway navigation, a rare spec for a petrol-powered B-segment sedan
- No plug-in capability and a small battery, and Geely has not published the battery capacity or top speed
- The lidar is limited to the top Yaoxing trim at CNY 149,700 ($22,327), and the car is sold only in China for now
The Xingrui L PLUS is a big, well-equipped family hybrid: a 4,956 mm body, a 235 hp traction motor, a 3.98 L/100 km WLTC rating and a CNY 119,700 ($17,853) starting price make it a strong value for a buyer who wants low fuel bills without a charging cable. The trade-offs are the missing battery and top-speed figures, the lack of a plug and lidar-based driver assistance held back for the CNY 149,700 top trim. We would take the Yaoxing if the budget allows because it is the only trim with the full H5 hardware, and treat the 1,000 km combined-range figure as a claim, although the 58-litre tank makes it plausible.
